This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Meddo stick map, Marshall Islands. Meddo stick charts are used by Pacific islanders to aid navigation at sea. The Marshall Islands are in the western Pacific, where travel at sea takes place in outrigger sailing canoes. This chart represents the western or Ralik chain of the Marshall Islands and covers the general area between 164 degrees and 170 degrees East longitude and 4 degrees and 12 degrees North latitude. The large shell near centre represents the atoll of Kwajalein. The design at right represents the effect of the trade winds on ocean swells after they pass through and around the atoll of Jaluit. This specimen of a stick map dates from the 1920s.
